Regular Updates
Sunday 22nd January 2012
Well we are well into the new year now with 3 excellent Sunday meetings, 3 mid week prayer and bible studies and a thought provoking Prophesy meeting.
Today Geoff was preaching and he commenced what is intended to be a series on the book of Revelation, a much neglected book when it comes to bible study and therefore a much misunderstood book. If you would like to follow this teaching then you may download it from the teachings tab or you would be most welcome to join us on a Sunday.
Our next Prophecy Meeting will be on 21st April and will be a 'Supper and Prophesy' meeting to be held at St John's Birkdale Church Hall. If you would like an invitation, then please contact us. (for catering purposes).
New Beginnings
A New Year full of promise and another day closer to the Lords return. Do we eagerly await this momentus event or is it a dark mystery which we would rather avoid? Yet it is something that it would be very foolish to avoid because it will affect you and it may be sooner rather than later!
As we enter a new year we still bring our old self into it and that old self will very soon spoil it, no matter how many promises you have made, but how much better to enter that new year allowing the Creator of this world to guide us each step of the way and to renew our minds according to His will.
May we wish you a very happy and peaceful new year walking in the footsteps of the Living Christ who came into this earth so as to redeem you from satan's snares.
"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will." Rom 12:2
